Venkatesh Arora - TEDX BHISKanpur : Empowering youth voices for a better future

We are extremely delighted to share that one of our students from the Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Studies, School of Habitat Studies, Venkatesh Arora, gave a TEDx speech at BHIS Kanpur. He was one of the 14 distinguished speakers selected across India to deliver a speech on 'Empowering Youths for a Better Future'.

In his speech, Venkatesh talked about his journey of starting as a volunteer with a non-profit while studying in high school to gradually leading projects and getting in the core team of the organisation and eventually initiating a startup at the age of 22. He sheds light on the struggles he faced and also offers glimpses of his experiences in the social sector and climate advocacy space.

Currently, he's serving as the 'Marshal' (Core Team Member) of Swapna Foundation and founded 'The Conscious Humans', a platform that educates people about climate change and sustainable lifestyle. He has been working since the past 4 years to serve the society and putting in efforts to bridge the gao between climate awareness and climate action at the grass-roots.
